As you found out there’s actually quite a lot of us out there – especially considering the small area. I personally know of at least five on Lightninghoof alone and a couple more on Eonar.
I figured I’ve done the line thing before when I was younger and after that it lost it’s appeal. Now I just want to either get in and out or just skip it all together.
As for the collector’s edition – paying more then double for a pet and a few extras just doesn’t intrest me – I’ll leave them for the people who really want it.

Another Newfoundlander! I spent all Monday night complaining that there were no other WoW players from Newfoundland on the greater internet. I’m all excited now!

I *wanted* to see a crowd, so the mall was the best choice. And I was served! I didn’t bother with the collector’s edition, so I would have just gone with digital download otherwise. (I was actually tempted to go to the mall just to hang out but buy the digital version to avoid having an extra game box cluttering my room.

I remembered how the last WoW release for WotLK at both the Avalon and Village malls went with lines of 75+ each and decided to do what I did last time – Walmart! They’re 24hrs at the moment so I just walked in at 12:05, waited for two people ahead of me to decide if they wanted the collector’s edition or not – which they had a lot of – and walked out at 12:12. Simple.

Wow! 150-200 people? That’s awesome!

I had a great time getting my hard copy, too. First time I’ve ever gone for the midnight release. It was a lot of fun.
