Thanks for the scoop! (And sorry I took so long in getting back to you! I've been failing badly at answering comments)

Sounds like a really effective guild. I love that level communication. If the humour is like Conquest's on crack, it would probably get on my nerves though... With each passing day I'm becoming a crankier old lady ;D

I'm sure you'll be in the center of things in no time. I have no doubts that you'll put all their dps to shame.

Can't wait to hear the Podcast, sounds like you guys are having a fun time putting this whole thing together. As for the 10 man raids, they have a bit of a "special" feel to them.
Best of luck in your search.
While I know this is the "bossy pally's blog" I do want to say to Vidyala, you are always going to be a pally blogger to me. Its what I know you as, and yes I still pop by to read what you have to say. Its still one of my favorites.

It's kinda exciting being in a new guild, yet stressful like I was telling you last night. At the end of the night, the GM said they were impressed but I can get better.

I like the "no officer" only the GM and Rl lead. All info is taken into account. No officer forums, everything is out on the open on the forums. Recruit apps are discussed in a new thread, with all raiders input. Which is deleted upon the acceptance of the recruit. I saw mine though ;).

Humor is like Conquest x's 10, alot more constructive criticism too. People actually getting called out for mistakes.

So far I like it. But being the new guy, I'm still an outcast so to speak. It's been awhile since I had to actually compete for a spot lol.

Being part of the actual guild first heroic kill, was pretty satisfying, after almost enduring 2 months of no progress prior transferring. And 2 shotting this, with 6 trials, was pretty impressive. I see good things in the future. It's an adventure, I'm sure you would enjoy too!

It's funny how the different subsets have that different feel. Even now, some paladin bloggers have me on their blogroll and I get many views from them. On the whole, I've found mages to be much more independent. I don't think it's deliberate, just the way we tend to be? Because of my alt problem I read a pretty wide variety of paladin/druid/mage/general blogs. It's always interesting to compare.

I actually found out last night that the guild I was eying broke up a few days ago. It's tough to be a 25 man raider in these times!

I've noticed trends within the different subgroups of bloggers too. I've only ever been in the paladin group, but I sort the blogs in my reader by class and, yeah, noticeable differences in atmosphere between all of them. I do love the paladin community. We're not as tight as the druids, but we're got quite a few excellent bloggers among our ranks.

Vidyala, that was something I noticed when I transitioned from being a druid blogger to more of a priest or all around general blogger. I found the druid community to be friendly, but I felt like there really wasn't any room for a new kid on the block. There were already so many established bloggers who were terrific at what they do and it was hard for me to feel like I could find my niche amongst them and like I had anything to offer compared to them.

When I re-rolled to a priest, I found that the community was really in need of more voices and I was openly welcomed and people seemed happy to have another priest on their blogroll that they could look to for advice or information. That felt great! I think it also helped that I was finally writing about things I truly enjoyed, rather than trying to muster up enthusiasm for a class I was losing interest in.

I hope the 25-man guild you have your eye on is uh, hungry for you when the time comes. Oh man, that just sounds like all kinds of wrong. :D I'm okay with that though.

I love the paladin bloggers. I'm not ashamed to admit that I seriously considered making paladin healing my "main" pursuit just so I could continue to be among their number. That sounds a bit weird, I suppose! It's funny how the class and spec you play can really influence the crowd that will read your blog.

That's exactly it, Vixsin is pretty much the only regular Resto Shaman information provider. And the healing community isn't just bloggers. I know of a few fantastic paladins from Plus Heal and Elitist Jerks, but they're pretty much absent outside of their forums of choice. I dream of the day one of my pally posts gets slammed by someone who actually knows what they're talking about!

Edit - Just so that my words don't get misinterpreted, there are a number of excellent and knowledgeable pally bloggers, but very few write guides/informational posts and none of them slam my posts enough.

I wouldn't say they're quiet, I just think they may not be as "connected" as the rest of us. I know Vixsin is an outstanding shaman resource and resource, in general. She does not use Twitter or do any kind of consistent podcasting. She updates often and never fails to put out good material.

I see a few up and coming blogs that seem to have potential. I would like to see if they can come close to matching what others before them have done and make the same impact. I find that to be really exciting.
