How anyone could possibly like the ending is beyond me! I guess, yeah, it could have been worse, but it felt like I was suddenly thrust into a totally different game, the storytelling was terrible and there was no respect for the bonds I'd spent 3 games forging with the characters.

I did "green" ending too. Mostly because of FAQ #9, but even if I hadn't screwed up, my instinct would have been to choose that option anyway. It didn't mesh with the Mass Effect theme, but out of all the options, it was the one that came closest. I redid the end so I could get the "perfect" scene, just on the slight chance that Indoctrination Theory or something similar proved to be true in the DLC.

It's been a long time, but I don't think I even managed to bring back Tidus in FFX-2... Not that I tried all that hard. It's funny that you mention Tidus because Mass Effect reminded me a lot of FFX. Game started out awesome, then I started thinking "You know what would really suck? If they did xyz... Oh it almost seems like they're doing xyz....They are doing xyz....WTF WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING????"

Aww, thanks! When I write, and especially when I write entry-level guides, I'm constantly fretting over "will someone who's not in my head be able to understand what I'm saying?" so it's incredibly reassuring to hear I did it right!

I actually really enjoyed the ending! I did the non-spoilery named "Green", which I felt thematically worked with a lot of my personal perspectives of the game. As far as the "Perfect" ending goes, I find the method of getting it downright horrific. It's a "best ending" that's best left unseen imo. Like bringing back that annoying twerp Tidus in FF X-2. (Decade old spoilers there, sorry)

But it took a lot of digging around various websites to find exactly what my EMS needed to be to open the Green option (No multiplayer for me, can't get Xbox Live Gold. So I just did a bunch of side missions I had skipped). Kinda wish I had an easy breakdown like this one. ^_^

Haven't played ME3 yet, so I stopped at the "Spoilers start here" section. So I can't give any specific feedback or make any intelligent comments beside this: Wow!

How you manage to write posts with SO much detail but not make it overwhelming is amazing. ^ ^
